AHMED ALBALAWI

Welcome to my profile

I am a manufacturing engineer technology who graduated from Western Kentucky University, USA. Some of the areas that I am very competent and knowledgeable include Six Sigma, DMAIC, OSHA, PMP, ISO 9000, Supply Chain, and utilization of Lean manufacturing tools. I am skilled and efficient in problem solving methodology. Apart from the academic skills that I acquired during training and work experience, I enjoy playing video games because they help boost self-esteem and promote creativity hence problem-solving.

I believe in the importance of experience when it comes to manufacturing processes. Through experience, one learns how to apply theoretical content and learn new things that are vital in their profession. Most of my past work experiences have been aimed towards developing my professional experience as a manufacturing engineer.

ROBOTICS AND MACHINE VISION

I operated robots using RT ToolBox2 to create programs by robot language. Some of the skills that I acquired when handling robotics include ability to use sensors and vision systems for increased functionality and automated decision-making. I have been able to access, observe and report manufacturing application of robotics.  Also, I trained to use basic robotic functions such as its operation, safety, and programming practice.

Electrical Work

BASIC ELECTRICITY

Experience in the electric department allowed me to understand basic electrical concepts, Ohms law, resistors color codes and operation of electrical test equipment for electronic industry. I was therefore equipped with skills in identification of essential electrical components and basic calculation of resistance and power usage and voltage. I can also read color codes on resistors and operate different test equipment.

COMPUTER NUMERICAL CONTROL (CNC)

In computer numerical control (CNC) system, I learned how to program and operate CNC lathes and machining center. I performed code editing and equipment troubleshooting. I have knowledge of control systems, simple programming and various topics such as print reading, plotting points G & M codes and manual programming among others, I created geometry and tool paths using Bobcad software. Also, I am familiar with safety details relating to Computer Numerical Control.

ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING

Architectural Drafting enabled me to develop visualization and technical sketching skills. I was also able to develop my skills in 3D models and use basic computer-aided design CAD software skills for creating and plotting drawings. This avenue allowed me to utilize my visualization skills to produce multi-view drawings such as annotations, auxiliaries, and dimensions. I can create technical sketches that are replicable.

INDUSTRIAL MATERIAL

Engineers must uphold good engineering practices to improve production processes and ensure safety while at the same time minimizing costs of production. Some of the skills that I have acquired in this area include material identification, their structure and chemical bonds and other properties. I can conduct different types of material testing and measure and analyze procedures for industrial applications. Therefore, I might consider working as a process engineer and adopt good manufacturing practices to improve production, quality and environmental safety.

QC Inspector

QUALITY CONTROL

I worked as a quality control inspector during my senior research. Some of my responsibilities were checking on the quality of incoming and outgoing materials as well as production procedures. I was, therefore, able to acquire skills in blueprints and specification of products and supplies. Measuring products with rulers and calipers to ensure their accuracy. Working as a quality control inspector also equipped me with adequate analytical techniques. I can prepare and report inspection and test data as well.

MY PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS

My personal and professional philosophy that makes me the person whom I am is that one should always make their passion their profession. This principle has always formed the basis of most of my actions. I believe that when people venture into careers that they enjoy, they are more likely to find pleasure in whichever activity that they are doing. In my case, it is evident that engineering technology is and will always be my passion.

I have both short and long term goals in my career life. My short term goal is to promote manufacturing technology and ensure that I develop skills within the workforce. Consequently, my long-term goals are included mastering manufacturing engineering work and developing my professional skills. I plan to use my theoretical and practical knowledge to make meaningful contributions to industry fields in the Middle East and the world as a whole.
